I've just had another unauthorised piwakawaka intrusion. The little peeper came in my back door & found its way through to the lounge, where it became confused. I opened the sliding door & showed it the way out, but it stayed up on the rafters.

After one of its brief flights it landed on top of a curtain. I approached slowly & found I could rub its chest with one finger. I moved closer & it perched on my finger! I carried it outside that way, it peeped at me, then flew away.
