Does childcare still cost so much in UK?
I had a job interview for a part-time position at a public school. They told me they had a 2 weekly schedule and couldn't guarantee me my work days would be the same every week, so I would need full-time childcare. I broke off the interview when it was clear I would earn less than childcare would cost. Why pay money for being able to work?
