Back in Business!

The new USB Wifi Adapter arrived. For about 125-130 ksats, I got an Alfa AWUS036ACHM with the MediaTek MT7610U. Plugged in, configured my network connection, and didn't even need to reboot. So far, so good. Stable, and very fast. The LED light on the front doesn't light up as advertised, but that is possibly a configuration option. Quite a speedy upgrade for this 10 year old laptop.

Started resetting up my laptop a few days ago and forgot just how much of a pain in the ass the wifi is on this thing (it's your standard qualcomm atheros pos). It will randomly cut out and then not restore connection. To address, I've decided to acquire an external usb wifi adapter that may resolve it, and in the mean time, I'm tethered to an ethernet connection. Have sorted some other network issues out. Got vscode and some extensions installed and after some trial and error with networking resolved some docker crap that was preventing me from running corny chat locally. Have just done a trivial commit and mirrored up to github to verify. Will be back to making bugfixes and enhancements on Corny Chat soon.
