Not in a sad or anxiety driven way, but just in appreciation of the value of life.
How rare we all are to be here.
And, how at any point, poof we'll be dead.
It encourages me to live with more intention and purpose. I'm glad I discovered ancient greek philosophy to explore this topic in further detail.
If you haven't read Mediations from Marcus Aurelius, I can't recommend it enough.
