Sofia (npub1qxx…u6la) lemondrow00 (npub1prz…c546) People in the United States have a simplistic understanding of this too. A lot of trade deals were done to benefit companies, but also US consumers. The effect NAFTA has on indigenous farmers (whose children are now migrant workers) was qualitatively worse than the effect on the Midwest. I think during the recent pandemic US citizens felt what it is like to not have cheap consumer goods.
