Well that was dramatic. The attempt to impeach Sec. Mayorkas - not for high crimes and misdemeanors, but for, at best, maladministration (depending on your partisan perspective) - has failed. The GOP was counting on Rep. Green, a TX Dem, not making it in time to vote. But he did and with 3 GOP nos, that tied it at 215-215 which means the resolution fails. At the end, another GOP rep changed their vote to no so it can be brought up again, but it was Rep. Green’s surprise appearance that did it.
