If any existing #nostr developers could help me out with some questions, that'd be great as I'm just now diving into this thing.

The way I currently understand it, it's possible for anyone to create a private/custom relay server and/or client to build a single or multiple use-case application on top of, and even store application data across existing relays using the protocol.

This would then allow anyone to login to the application via nsec, and communicate on the application using existing public data that can be requested/pulled from various other relay servers/databases.

If I'm missing something obvious, please point it out. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Are there limitations to worry about? I'm tech-savvy but have a hard time understanding documentation sometimes.

I've been working on an app that could maybe instead be better deployed using nostr, since it seems to be inherently secure and decentralized.
