i finally looked it up (https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/markets/pricing/exchange-rates ) and it looks like the rules are
$16 USD
-> 21.83 CAD
-> 22.27 CAD (after 2% shopify currency conversion fee)
-> 23 CAD (after shopify rounds the price up for some reason)
I just found the setting to turn off the rounding step, which hopefully makes things clearer? Curious to know what you think.
