So, long story short, I'll be losing access to water, electricity and heat soon.
Right now, I live in an RV that's parked in my parents yard, and they are kicking me out on the 31st of march.
The however, the RV is not livable yet, and I can't use it without being hooked up to utilities.
I've looked at going to an RV park, but the ones in town won't let me stay because I don't have a job and can't pay.
It doesn't have any off grid power, so I won't have any electricity.
It needs the black water and potable water tanks replaced before I can use the sink or shower or other amenities.
it's still winter right now, and the propane heat is broken, so I rely on electric heat at the moment, and it doesn't have A/C so once it's summer I just won't have any cooling.
at the bare minimum, I need the money to replace the propane heater, the water tanks, and add some kind of off grid power.
I'd prefer to be able to install an A/C or maybe a reversible heat pump if I can get the money for it, but that will only become a problem once summer starts, so it isn't as urgent.
I'm trying to price out how much this is going to cost me, and the best estimate I can make is that it's going to be around 400 or 500 for the water tanks and plumbing, and probably 150 for the propane.
the biggest problem is going to be off grid power, I could get a random 12v lifepo4 and a small inverter for around 300 or 400 USD, but if I want to do things the right way and spec things out so that I can install an A/C later, it could cost me anywhere from 1000 USD up to 3000 USD for a split phase inverter, and 48v batteries.
that's not even including how to charge the batteries though. right now, the RV has a compartment for an installed gas generator, that's directly hooked into the main gas tank, the problem is that it's broken.
replacing that will probably be my best bet for reliable power, and that will cost roughly 800 USD for one that I think will work.
Solar is not a realistic option considering the ultra tight budget.
If I buy big enough batteries, I could probably just drive up to places and plug in to steal power, or add an EV charging port and use an EV charger to charge the battery.
If I can get away with just fixing the water and the heater, then I'll only need about 1000 USD, but if I decide to get power done too, then I'll need an additional 1200 USD on the low end, or 3000 USD on the high end.
If you have the money to spare, could you please donate something to help?
I'll be focusing on getting the most important things fixed first, and then if I have enough left over I'll get the less urgent problems fixed.
(edit: please please please donate I genuinely have no way of getting housing if I can't fix this rv, I will be homeless)
