In the 1980s, there used to be a fundamentalist christian street preacher who would yell out sermons of condemnation and hate in the courtyard of Hornbake Library at the University of Maryland.
He was as bigoted and misogynistic as you might imagine. College was a pit of sin an evil and the preacher man was there to warn us all of eternal damnation and torture if we refused to live by the patriarchal fascism of his religion.
