Disagree sharply! As a Senior Software Engineer at my last place of employment, I actually worked 80+ hour weeks ON MY OWN INITIATIVE because I was so excited about the product and about the code I was producing for that product. I actually RESENTED the time I had to "waste" by eating, sleeping & being involved in family activities. And, yes, it was WORK. I would leave the office after a 10 -12 hr day & hardly be able to drive home because I was so exhausted.
I WANTED to work!
