First batch of Chinese Starlink equivalent satellites launched today
https://twitter.com/planet4589/status/1820736001746124836And AST Mobile got permission to launch a few dozen (?) freaking giant super bright satellites, as well as one in non-geosynchronous orbit that will severely disrupt radio astronomy.
I guess all this is good fuel for my incredibly angry 10 minute talk for the IAU General Assembly tomorrow (that will happen at around 6am my time) about why SpaceX sucks. And another letter-writing project, coming soon
