#WritingWonders Day 7: Least favourite stage of writing?
Editing.
I love the writing process, but I can't step back from it. When I try to line edit for grammar/spelling/sentence structure etc., I always end up reading (and tweaking) the story, but struggle to find distance to work on the words alone. I read huge swathes, then realise I haven't been editing at all.
At work, I check over contracts, and other paperwork all the time, so I can be objective. Just not with my own fiction, I guess.
