A while ago I listened to jackspirko (npub1587…kv0n) talk about creating a digital nation. Could Nostr, or something like it, be that new country?
- Our npub key is our citizenship, with our social status and the trust built around that. If we are a scum bag everyone knows and the digital mob shuts us out. If we interact in good faith others embrace us.
- The currency for the economy is already integrated with The Lightning Network.
- Our protection as a nation comes from our numbers and the fact that Nostr can't just be turned off. You stomp on one client and, like stomping on water, everything just flows away and pops up again
