A great post discussing all the things her site does NOT do to annoy readers. I strive largely for the same on my own blog (though I tend to use semantic linebreaks rather than arbitrarily wrapping around 72 chars).
As a bonus, when you build a site like that, it's *fast*. Fast to load. Fast to render. Fast to recall from cache. Fast because there aren't piles of dependencies and images to download.
