I saw a video (well, a "short") by some guy who was wondering if a 3D printed (coin the size of a US) quarter would work in a gumball machine...
Then I remembered that 30 years ago I got a cardboard mailer from the USPS, cut pieces round and glued them together to make it as thick as a quarter and that worked just fine in certain machines.
Decades of hacking over here my friends...
