I gave the compost heap a turn today and added the pipes to circulate air through the heap.
I’ll keep adding to the pile and periodically turning it through autumn and winter. This will be my mulching compost for the beds in spring.
The mixed broad bean and field bean beds are sown, part sown or awaiting transplants. Hoping to source some wood chip so in the meantime they have chopped comfrey for pathways.
