I started out studying serial sexual homicide as a specific interest. I ended up in the realm of child sexual crimes (there was some overlap that led me there).
This stuff is so much more prevalent than I previously realized. I thought it was incredibly rare. I'm disgusted to say I was wrong. It's more common than I imagined. People are making entire careers out of catching these criminals. And there's plenty of work still. Wild.
