We are sorry that's your experience with LSPs. We agree that some do actually close channels after 30 days. In addition, we also know that most LSPs only offer channels for a maximum period of 30 days.
But not us! We offer4 different channel durations for you to pick and choose from:
3, 6, 9 and 12 month periods
A few of our peers have had channels with us for more than a year now, and with absolutely no routing traffic.
We only close channels if one (or more) of the following circumstances happen:
1. A peer's node is constantly down (after trying to contact him/her)
2. The agreed duration of the channel has ended
3. If the peer requests the channel to be closed
