Dear nonprofit news organizations: I really really want to give you money to support your vital work, but you do not need my home address. All you need is my credit card number, expiration date, 3-number code on the back, and zip code connected to the card.
Maybe you want to send me a nice letter, which I appreciate. But the only acknowledgment I want is an email thank-you note that I can show to the IRS if they ever want evidence of the donation.
