Interesting that you accuse me of thinking in absolutes. I’m not sure what you are really trying to achieve by saying that.
The fact is that exchanges make a lot of money from trade between Bitcoin and other coins. During a bull market the size of their business can be increased by listing new coins and by persuading their customers to pay with their Bitcoin for them.
