Early 2018 I learned about paper wallets. Loaded $100 onto one and "put it away." Thought I'd lost it in the move a few years ago but found it yesterday and promptly swept it into cold storage.
I remember thinking how embarrassingly small 0.019 btc was at the time. I think it cost almost $3 in tx fees to move it from Coinbase to paper.
I hear that generally, paper wallets aren't a good way to store your sats but having them off the exchange and not in a hot wallet kept them safe during my shitcoiner phase.
