I increasingly resent the word “non-binary” because it defines me only in contrast to something I prove does not exist. It lacks respect for the legacy and the future we represent. It does not contain all of what we are, which is complete within ourselves, nor the gifts we have to offer the rest of you. It attempts to contain a queerness that is by definition not containable. You have not developed a word worthy of us.
