#WritersCoffeeClub 30: Are you writing to prove a point to anyone?
First off, if you answered "yes" to this question, know that the relevant person is you.
That's the way that I was when I started writing novels ~9 years ago. It felt competitive to me, and I used that competitive spirit to push me through the moments when I didn't trust myself to finish what I'd started.
Now the hard part is learning to feel the trust that I've earned and write as if I've already proven my point.
