Has anyone done a test comparing the performance of various NES emulators on arm?
As you said, there shouldn't be any technical reasons why a pi 3 is struggling to emulate an NES aside from poor optimization of the emulation cores.
I know from the developing NES software on x86 systems that the performance and accuracy can vary _a lot_ between different emulator projects.
