Thanks and yeah, I'm getting better in this over the years. Chili plants are tricky to mix nutrients for in just the right amounts. I add bat guano, crush magnesium supplement pills (or add epsom salt which is what those pills are anyway) and powder eggshells for calcium in my potting mix for slow-release nutrients and feed them fast uptake liquid / chelated nutrients mixed with compost tea (leachate) every fortnight. They seem to like it.

Another "secret" is to keep and even help spread algae (by using run-off water from "algae -infected" trays to water other trays with) growing on the top of the potting mix. Presence of algae won't harm your plants (in fact it might be beneficial in helping with nutrient breakdown) but will prevent molds from forming. No molds then means no fungal spores infecting the plants, no fungivore insects spreading diseases in your nursery, and no plant self-defense preventing vigorous growth. And best of all, while algae will prevent surface fungal growth, it won't harm beneficial (e.g. mycorrhizal) fungi living within the soil.
