But I think my main point still stands - that the environmental impact of AI (water consumption, carbon production) is minimal compared to almost every other human activity, including especially the human activities IT in general and AI in particular is now replacing.
It's the equivalent of complaining about the carbon cost of videoconferencing when the alternative is to fly people in from around the world.
