That’s how we think it will play out. The problem is: DCG, Grayscale, and Gemini had borrowing/purchase arrangements involving GBTC that were consistent with being one legal entity. They may not be as legally separated as we were lead to believe. I did not appreciate this legal technicality. There is more risk involved than initially understood. I hope it is converted to an ETF, but there are other possibilities. (1) Redemption for cash and (2) bankruptcy proceedings. Redemption for btc is possible too, but much less likely. Go into it with your eyes open.
