Fighting devastating diseases should be among the grand common goals of society. Now such research carries a bit of a loser stigma.
It should be done mainly for the future generations' sake, not for us disgusting gollums who were born in a less advanced time. Or else any kid may end up like this.
Research papers are useless unless AI has full access to them. These problems are too hard for humans who should stick to collecting raw experimental data.
