I got another question...do I get it right, that Friendica works like that?
Say if I'm a new member and follow 20 people who have currently many posts available. After I follow them my timeline is still empty as long the people I follow make a new post? So no old posts are shown in the timeline? Is this the default behavior in the Fediverse and Mastodon etc. handle it the same?
Also if I follow people with shared events in their calendar, I only get newly created events in my timeline and calendar? All existing events are not present?
Am I right?
