Why I #bitcoin. Women weren’t able to have access to bank accounts in the US if they were unmarried or without their husband’s permission until 1974 (legally granted rights in 1960 and functionally able to access them without discrimination in 1974 with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, for anyone splitting hairs). I don’t want a financial system that allows any group of people to be oppressed by withholding access.
