As a writer and general observer to this phenomenon that has been forced into modern entertainment, I find it fascinating. Perhaps one day I will write an essay about these times, but more about what it is that people want to see. We have moved away from entertainment, escapism and exploring timeless themes. What is worse is this idea that the fans are to blame and that they take established stories and change them. They break the lore which even as a writer with my own works I don't want to do. Establishing worldbuilding is important, it brings in the stakes.

On saying this, I have reached this point where I find seeing what happens to corporations like Disney more entertaining than the modern stories they come up with now. Or reading what the various media outlets say about it, how they or the celebrities try to blame the fans... hilarious but bold tactic, will it pay off for them?
