With the premis that Putin in the end wants to permanently destroy/cripple Ukraine, EU and NATO strategy looks silly, always afraid to escalate, witholding some weapons, not allowing Ukraine to strike where it wants in defence. Not going all-in, not drawing redlines or giving Ukraine security guarantuees in some form. We are keeping Ukraine "on life-support" but that's it. Putin does not dare to fight the whole of EU/NATO, that can be used.
