Open source maintainers face an increasing burden and burnout issues. This is unsustainable. At BlueGreen Labs we use the simple rule that, unless it is a bug, requests for immediate changes to our open source contributions merit a service contract.
One does not have the right to claim time for what amounts to be a you problem (and this includes reviewing pull requests). Maintaining open source is about maintaining these boundaries.
