I started school in 1972. I remember I was very sick, but didn't really remember the specifics. So I asked Mum if she remembered.
I had measles, mumps and chicken pox back to back from September to November.
Mum was an ER nurse and looked after me, but it was rough sledding.
The MMR vaccine was available in some places in 1971, but not in my area for another year or so.
