RF antenna. Like wireless charging, but at a greater distance, and very inefficient.
I'm curious as to whether the Soviet engineers were rectifying it to DC and using the power conventionally, or just up/down-converting the frequency and mixing in the audio before sending through another antenna.
It only appears to have one antenna in the photos, but hard to be sure...
