when I built my original system I used the REST API because I simply couldn't figure out how to make gRPC work. With rest I do watch for incoming invoices and that triggers my back end to do stuff.
I actually pull all invoices in and decode them but I could just pass the right ones across a bridge.
But that was 2 years ago and my skills were very basic.
I dare say I could do this.
