"content": "nostr:npub1upkp7fd7rc3lrjg23r8gy0wc723vze7mxlx5984ut6zurjzpf5xss4tcwy this just clicked for me—all this time I thought “remote tracking branch” was a regular, local branch that “tracked” a remote branch, whatever that meant. \n\nAs in, git checkout -b mybranch made a “non-tracking” branch, but git push -u origin mybranch made it tracking the new remote branch, so I thought mybranch (not origin/mybranch) was the “remote tracking branch”",
