A random thought:
Could it be that the GJK based swept is filing not because the fractions are wrong, but because the p_cancel_slide is trying to do its thing, which is based on the penetration on the unsafe fraction
WHICH, if the sweep works... the penetration at the time of impact could be 0 or negative.
Which would explain why the thing seems to bounce...
Does this makes sense?
