Video isn't not so much "high frequency" as it is high bandwidth. It takes a significant amount of BW to encode a video signal, for example 8 MHz for a PAL (EU version of NTSC) signal.
Also, I wonder whether that Betacam recorder is really hardly used, as it shows degradation of the vacuum fluorescent display. Could be that it was left on for hours on end not doing much 🙄
