"content": "Mystery solved: POKEWEED. Uggh.\n\nCan anyone help identify this mystery volunteer plant? It is almost 6 ft / 2 m tall, has soft, flexible red-tinged branches roughly 1 cm thick, tiny white flower clusters, and lovely green leaves roughly the shape of a tea plant, just larger. It's loving partial shade and doesn't appear to be bothered by wildlife or insects (so probably toxic?). This is Zone 9B - Portland, Oregon. It's quite nice; I just hope I'm not hosting something poisonous. #gardening\nhttps://s3.eu-central-2.wasabisys.com/mastodonworld/media_attachments/files/112/889/425/235/960/481/original/e8d956264c573f1f.jpeg\nhttps://s3.eu-central-2.wasabisys.com/mastodonworld/media_attachments/files/112/889/425/650/433/838/original/1eabf8939ea5a1ef.jpeg\n",
