i dont see why this is an issue.
i love discussing state and taxes and how that is not a consent based concept and violates ppls freedom and if or what can be done to improve it.
...but ppl lifesyle or sexual preferences seem to be in a different category and i cant believe somebody is a libertarian or is against violence and pro consent if they want to lecture others about their lifestyle.
making it part of the discussion might also alienate everyone who might be on your side when it comes to discussing state or government architectures and pros and cons, because you seem to add this relatively random unrelated topic into the mix where ppl might not agree with your lifestyle choices.
that sais, i personally am living in a traditional family, but i am entirely happy with everyone around me doing it the same way or a different way - i dont really care and am happy for them to be happy
