at one point, i had to go the bathroom, and when i returned, S. said very solemnly, "we'll have to talk later", as he explained that one of the others had told him how much in advance i had invited him to the party. he seemed really moved by that.

we had a lovely time. S.'s best friend from uni had to walk to his friend's apartment. i saw S. and him share a very long hug, while they promised each other to meet more often, as they hadn't seen each other in over 6 years.
