It is okay, if God says something you can't accept. Being friends isn't about synchronizing to 100% agreement.
But, so long as you think you must, know that "want rules reason", and that you'll simply twist His words into something more acceptable.
The Bible isn't inerrant, and, God says and does things that are unacceptable to a conscience brought up in a modern Christian community.
You may not know this, but it is by virtue that satan dominates and enslaves those who wish to do good.
