As an apartment dwelling renter I feel I'm totally left behind when it comes to sustainability and energy adaptation programs. PG&E just called to try to set up an energy efficiency program... But I don't qualify. A year or so ago they offered a free fridge upgrade since mine was more than 20 years old - the landlord just had to agree since they own the fridge. The landlord lost the paperwork three times in a row :( our 4 person household gets $400+ bills sometimes and the fridge is always leaking.
