We can't be surprised teachers have voted to strike (again);
the pervasive problems of pay failing to keep up with inflation, skewed work-life balance & issues of curriculum management set in a context of budgetary constraints that are proving fatal to their educative mission, has produced a workforce that is fed up, increasingly militant & feels itself to be under-attack from the political class.
Teachers need better lives, so they can help their pupils into better lives!
