That seems to misunderstand what corporate personhood is. It doesn't mean that a company is an actual person like you and me. They're not natural persons after all and don't have many of the rights that natural persons have. They however have a kind of personhood because that allows them to take legal actions like entering into contracts, have debts, be parties in lawsuits (so it is what allows companies to actually be sued), and a few things like that.

It can't be denied that some legal hacks in the US (also known as their Supreme Court) have been working on expanding what legal personhood means but there still are some very significant differences that I don't see diminishing any time soon.
