Perhaps we can reckon that a large part of Jewish culture is re-traumatizing the already generationally traumatized over & over to feel unsafe and then to pledge allegiance to Israel. Jews will never feel safe, by design. This does not mean they shouldn’t be protected always but it does mean context is required when assessing the level of danger v. the FEELING of the level of danger.
Until this can be openly discussed, the horror will continue.
