The "Internet" increasingly feels like its split into the "Captive Internet" which has billions of users, and a "Free Internet" which has a few million who got out.
The Captive Internet feels like the "Matrix" - a bubble, where content people see, like and create is shaped by algorithms and the desires of the Big-Techs, to generate profits. Turning people into dollar signs.
And the Free Internet is the "real world" - we can still jump into the Matrix any time but we always know it isn't real.
