I’ll add other materials around the pond with sand and a sloping shelf of washed stones added inside.
The bricks are an experiment but now I’ve read up I will dig another hole elsewhere and leave it open for some bees to nest in the sides and others, like the mason bees to have access to the clay nest building material.
